CCT2018

Peripheral: Course Objectives

On behalf of the course directors of the CCT Peripheral, I would like to inform you that the CCT2018 Peripheral will be held from Thursday, October 25 to Saturday, October 27 at Kobe International Exhibition Hall. CCT started as a meeting specialized in Complex Cardiovascular Therapeutics, as the name suggests. Now, it has grown to become one of the biggest live courses in Japan and we expect more than 5,500 attendees this year.

CCT peripheral was founded in 2013, with this year marking the sixth time of the event. In keeping the tradition with the CCT spirit, we will challenge interventions for complex lesions that you probably don’t see in other live demonstrations. Through the interventions, we believe that we can show you the innovative technologies unique to Japan. In addition, we will prepare video live case transmissions, mainly for beginners, so they can learn wire techniques, the tibial puncture technique, and wire crossing techniques in lesions using body surface sonography and IVUS, etc. Moreover, in the “Nightmare in the Cathlab”, we would like to take time for complications, and have in-depth discussions about how to bail out from complications, or what we should have done in the case that we could not bail out from them.

In recent years, DCB and VIABAHN finally became available in Japan, and the treatment strategy of SFA is on the verge of dramatic change. Several data comparing bypass surgery and EVT in below-the-knee area had been also reported, and the important role of EVT was reconfirmed. We plan to hold various discussions regarding these two fields in the form of a round table discussion.

We are working hard to make the meeting more splendid. We are looking forward to seeing you at CCT2018.
