Japanese Session: Simultaneous English interpretation available
This is the CTOs! -Let’s comprehend the CTOs-
I would like to ask all doctors who have already performed and are getting started PCI for CTO: “What is the tips for successful CTO-PCI?"
Are the tips in wire selection, wire operation or IVUS/CT information? All are right, however, don't you think that we should consider more fundamental points? To where the wire is moving and in what situation the wire crosses? It is certain that histological specification of CTO is greatly related to these issues. It can be a key of successful wire crossing to understand the characteristics of CTO lesions and wires.
We aim to deepen an understanding of CTO lesions based on the opinions of specialists in the large range from patology to IVUS/MRI/CT and CTO-PCI. We think that the understanding of CTO and contents of CTO-PCI will change after attending this session.
Date: Saturday, June 12 9:00-10:50
Room: Educational Theater
Chairs: Satoru Sumitsuji, Masahiko Ochiai
9:00-10:20 -Part 1-
“The basics of CTO lesions for successful wire crossing”
- Introduction:
What does it mean to understand histology?
Satoru Sumitsuji(5min) - Histology: Histologic specification from stenotic lesion to CTO lesion
How does coronary atherosclerosis progress and result in chronic occlusion? Where do we initiate wire delivery for the reconstruction of blood circulation?
Katsumi Inoue(15min) - IVUS : IVUS has histologic eye.
Where is the wire crossing? If we can fully use the information from IVUS, we should be able to give histological treatment.
Yoichi Nozaki(15min) - CT : What can we get helpful information from CT
How can we use the information from CT for CTO treatment? How can we achieve success by applying the information on calcification for this treatment?
Masaaki Okutsu (Nozaki Tokushukai Hospital)(15min) - MRI: What will we get from MRI ?
What is the useful information for CTO-PCI? MRI may change CTO-PCI…
Kazuhiro Katahira(15min) - Angiogram: Can Angiogram give us information including histological features?
How can we understand the information from Angiogram?
Satoru Sumitsuji(15min)
10:20-10:50 -Part 2-
Case presentation: Can the operators explain their operations according to the histological information?
- Case-1(15min)
Masahisa Yamane - Case-2(15min)
